What you give is what you get.
I've been thinking lately about what I put in my mind/body/soul is what my mind/body/soul will give back to me. Whether it's eating properly and healthy according to my many diet restrictions, or filling my mind with positive, uplifting things, my "self" will give back to the world and to myself whatever I put into it. Hence the sayings about who you hang out with and what you do and how it will influence you. While there are some things about living in this world that are not controllable by me, there are many things that are.
I need to spend more time taking care of my body, yes, with rest and healthful eating and plenty of activities and exercise.
I need to spend more time taking care of my mind, yes, stretching it (no problem there, as school is very very challenging) and filling it with good and pleasant things (as much as can be controlled by me.)
I need to spend more time taking care of my soul, yes. This, I think is the most important. More time in worship, more time in resting and being still and thankful and quiet. More time to just...be and see and feel that I am alive and loved by my Father in heaven.
Yes, I must make time for these things now, because there will never be a GOOD time to spend on taking care of the earthen vessel God gave me.
