You're not special - a powerful commencement speech
And read... read all the time... read as a matter of principle, as a matter of self-respect. Read as a nourishing staple of life. Develop and protect a moral sensibility and demonstrate the character to apply it. Dream big. Work hard. Think for yourself. Love everything you love, everyone you love, with all your might. And do so, please, with a sense of urgency,
And then you too will discover the great and curious truth of the human experience is that selflessness is the best thing you can do for yourself. The sweetest joys of life, then, come only with the recognition that you’re not special.
Because everyone is.

Music
Don't practice your art, but force your way into it's secrets. For it and knowledge can raise men to the divine. ~ Ludwig van Beethoven

Day by day
"Father God,
i praise you and thank You for this day.
i pray for a thankful and contented heart.
i pray I would be a blessing to someone today.
i pray I would do right by my family and friends
and love them as you would have me to.
deliver me from the evil one.
forgive me for my sins and help me forgive the faults of others.
teach me to love as you love.
help me to make decisions with integrity.
i thank You for the provisions of this day.
i praise You.
Amen."

the story of your life
The body of B. Franklin, Printer.
Like the cover of an old book,
Its contents torn out,
And stript of its lettering and gilding,
Lies here, food for worms.
But the work shall not be lost;
For it will appear once more
In a new and more elegant edition
Revised and corrected by the Author.
(The Self-Epitaph of Young Benjamin Franklin, Age 22)
What will you leave behind?
What will the story of your life say when it's over?
